THE JOURNEY FROM YORK
North on the A19, then into Thornton-le-Moor.
The route leaves York towards Rawcliffe, follows the A19 north, takes the A168 exit and finishes at Thief Hole Lane. Send drivers the full DL7 9EH address. For arrival and parking details, contact the team.
The 40-minute journey begins in central York. Addresses across the city and traffic on the A19 will change individual departure times, so each pickup should be planned from its actual start.

THREE DAYS TOGETHER
One arrival opens the whole estate.
One wedding has the Hall, courtyard, bar, cottages, pods and outside land. The exclusive-use arrangement keeps the ceremony, reception and morning after in the same place.
Guests staying on the estate arrive with the couple the day before. York remains a useful rail and hotel base for other guests, provided their outward lift and return are booked before the wedding.

ROOMS AND RETURNS
Book the York return before the wedding.
Six cottages and six timber pods sleep around 50 guests, with more possible using additional beds. Once the on-site rooms are allocated, everyone else needs a confirmed bed or journey home.
Ride-hailing apps do not reliably cover Thornton-le-Moor. York guests should book from the York end or share a coach or minibus; the wedding guest advice carries the same return warning.
NOTICE AND CEREMONY
York for notice. North Yorkshire for the registrar.
Residence decides where each person gives notice. City of York Council directs qualifying residents to York Register Office at 56 Bootham and warns that some YO postcodes fall outside its boundary. Check the council receiving your council tax, then use its current notice guidance.
The ceremony registrar at Thief Hall is a separate booking with North Yorkshire Council. Confirm the registrar before fixing the venue date.
