AT THIEF HALL
Plan the ceremony, speeches and party as three different music jobs before choosing a band, DJ or playlist setup. Thief Hall welcomes all three, includes a sound system and wireless microphones, and has no sound limiter or finish time on the party. Ask each supplier what they bring, what they need from the building and how they will handle the handovers through the day.
16:00
Speech audio comes before the dance floor.
The magazine's typical sequence places announcing in and speeches at 4pm. Wireless microphones and the venue sound system are included, and Thief Hall asks for speeches in advance to support the timing of the day. The exact running order can vary, but groom, father of the bride, best man and maid of honour are the examples in the venue's own timeline.
Spotify playlists can be sent to the venue by WhatsApp. That gives the couple a route for background and transition music even when a live act or DJ owns the evening. A supplier brief should separate ceremony, reception, announcing, speeches and party audio rather than treating the whole day as one playlist.
20:00
The first dance opens the party, not the curfew.
At 7:30pm, the typical timeline brings in evening guests and serves night food. The first dance follows at 8pm, with a DJ, live band or the couple's own playlist named as the three options. The venue's stated evening capacity is 250, so the music plan has to account for a larger evening room than the 120-person day plan.
There is no sound limiter and no finish time on the party. The staffed bar closes at 2am, after which the couple can use their own drinks for a later finish. Those are two different operating points: music does not stop simply because licensed bar service has ended.
THE SETUP
Use the included system, then define the gaps.
The included list confirms a sound system, wireless microphones, WiFi, power, heating and toilets. It does not document inputs, speaker positions, power distribution, stage dimensions or a lighting rig. A band or DJ should therefore treat the included system as a known starting point, not assume it replaces every item in their own technical specification.
The main venue is flat and step-free from the car park through the ceremony spaces, bar and dining areas. Parking is available without a published numerical capacity. Use the viewing to agree load-in doors, vehicle positions and setup times with the chosen act.
