AT THIEF HALL

Work backwards from the ceremony time before deciding how many hair and makeup professionals you need. Bess's Bridle Suite is private but connected to the venue, with seven vanity stations, natural and artificial light, places for hot tools and charging, dress rails, key-code entry and parking directly outside. Those details let a chosen team build a realistic morning rather than guessing from a generic preparation-room photograph.

THE ROOM

Seven working positions under one skylight.

The room has seven spacious vanities with round lit mirrors. A full-width skylight brings natural light from above, backed by artificial lighting for the darker part of the morning. USB charging, plenty of electrical outlets and heat-safe appliance holders are built into the setup, so phones, hair tools and makeup lighting have defined places rather than sharing one improvised table.

A tea and coffee cart sits in the room. The adjacent poster material also records a welcome hamper for hair and makeup artists who arrive early, with items in a basket and fridge. That operational detail is specific to the people working the morning, although the contents can change and are not listed here as a permanent promise.

ACCESS

Stylists can let themselves in.

Bess's Bridle Suite has key-code entry, so chosen makeup artists and stylists can enter without waiting for the couple or venue team. Parking is directly outside. Cases, chairs and kit therefore have a short route into the room, and the wedding party does not have to start earlier simply to open the door for a supplier.

The suite is connected to the venue while retaining privacy. That keeps the move from preparation into the wedding spaces short, but prevents an early view of the dress from the rest of the party. The main venue is also on one level from the car park through ceremony, bar and dining areas.

06:00

The published timing allows the work to be counted.

The venue's typical timeline begins hair and makeup at 6am. It allows roughly one hour for each person and one and a half hours for the bride. It is presented as an example of how a Thief Hall day might run, not a mandatory schedule, but it gives a real basis for counting people, chairs and supplier hours before the final morning plan is agreed.

Registrars arrive roughly an hour before the ceremony and meet the couple separately for about 15 minutes. The typical ceremony is at 1pm. Those two points create the end of the preparation window, while the venue's separate planning support coordinates the wider sequence.

THE NIGHT BEFORE

Dresses can be hung and steamed before the morning starts.

Gold ceiling bars run above the room for hanging dresses. The magazine describes outfits being ironed or steamed the night before, with shoes and accessories prepared as part of the arrival day. Exclusive access begins at 10am the day before, so the room can be arranged before the 6am work begins.

The ceiling bars, heat-safe holders and key-code entry solve practical problems, but professional kit may need its own secure plan. Agree storage, overnight access and cleanup with Thief Hall and the chosen team rather than assuming the three-day hire answers them automatically.
