AT THIEF HALL
Decide what you want guests to do, when you want them to do it and who it is really for. A performer, game, booth or group activity will use Thief Hall differently, even though each can plan around the same 120 day guests, 250 evening guests, flat main-venue route, courtyard, outside land, WiFi and power. A clear moment in the schedule is more useful than adding entertainment simply to fill space.
THE GUEST FLOW
The audience changes between day and evening.
Thief Hall holds 120 day guests and 250 evening guests. The magazine's typical sequence moves from a 1pm ceremony to reception time at 2pm, speeches at 4pm, the wedding breakfast at 5pm, evening arrivals at 7:30pm and the first dance at 8pm. An entertainment supplier can therefore be part of a quiet reception interval, the evening arrival, or the later party, but those are different audiences and setup windows.
The venue has no finish time or curfew on the party. Its staffed bar closes at 2am, after which the couple can use their own drinks for a later finish. Any entertainment that runs late should be planned against that bar handover rather than assuming the venue closes when bar service stops.
THE PLACE
Choose a room or an outdoor part of the estate.
The Hall divides into the Big End and Small End. The bar and lounge sit within the same venue group, while the courtyard forms an enclosed paved square between brick and stone buildings. The orangery adds a naturally lit room opening towards a terrace and fields. Outside land is included in the hire, so the right setting can be chosen for the particular activity rather than assumed in advance.
From the main car park through ceremony, bar and dining, the venue is on one level and step-free. Power, heating, toilets, parking and WiFi are included. Ask each supplier to identify the sockets, weather cover, load-in points and floor protection their setup needs during the viewing.
THE WINDOW
Three days allow more than a wedding-night slot.
Exclusive access begins at 10am the day before and continues until noon the day after. Guests arrive the day before, with the bar area offered for a pre-wedding gathering and the cottage courtyard described as an alternative for a smaller meal and drinks. Entertainment can therefore be considered for arrival as well as for the main evening, without claiming that every listed supplier provides both.
Use the suppliers below as a starting point for conversations, then ask each one about the exact activity, date, space, setup and availability you need. Thief Hall welcomes other suppliers too, so the choice remains with the couple.
