AT THIEF HALL
Choose the cake around the number of portions, the display you want and the moment it will be served. Thief Hall includes cake cutting at no extra charge but does not impose one display position or cutting time. Previous weddings show cakes against exposed brick and on a barrel; treat those as inspiration, then agree delivery, storage, setup and service for your own day.
INCLUDED
Cake cutting is already covered.
Cake cutting is included at no extra charge. Portioning, plating, storage and service still need agreeing between the cake maker, caterer and venue team so the cutting inclusion is not mistaken for a complete service plan.
Tables, linen, glasses and napkins are included. Round tables are five feet across and rectangular tables are six feet by two feet. No table is automatically reserved for the cake, but those measurements give a supplier something real to use when a separate display is discussed.
THE DAY
Place the cake moment in the day.
Thief Hall's typical timeline places announcing in and speeches at 4pm, the wedding breakfast at 5pm, evening guests and food at 7:30pm, then the first dance at 8pm. It does not state when the cake is cut. That timing belongs in the couple's plan and should not be filled with a convention borrowed from another venue.
Exclusive access begins at 10am the day before and runs until noon the day after. This gives the couple a day-before setup window, while refrigeration, overnight storage and the delivery slot still need confirming for the chosen cake and season.
THE SETTING
Use the building rather than a generic cake backdrop.
The Hall combines exposed brick and open beams. The orangery adds a glazed lantern roof, hanging wisteria and doors towards the terrace and fields. Current wedding photographs include a cake on a barrel and a separate wildflower-and-brick cake. They show two approaches that have existed here, while leaving future couples free to choose another.
Use the cake makers below to compare style and approach, then ask directly about flavour, portions, price, delivery and availability for the wedding date. Other suppliers remain welcome too.
