STAYING AND GETTING HOME

Around 50 guests can stay on the estate.

Six cottages and six timber pods sleep around 50 guests, with more possible using additional beds. Those guests can arrive with the couple the day before and remain on the estate until noon the day after the wedding.

Other guests may use a Northallerton hotel or return home locally. Ride-hailing apps do not reliably cover the venue, so agree the driver, taxi, minibus or coach before the wedding rather than leaving the final miles until the end of the evening.

NOTICE AND CEREMONY

One council, two separate arrangements.

Each person gives notice through the registration district where they live. North Yorkshire Council lists Northallerton Registration Office at The Old Courthouse, 3 Racecourse Lane, Northallerton DL7 8QZ, and should confirm whether that is the right office for your circumstances.

The ceremony registrar at Thief Hall is booked separately through North Yorkshire Council. Check that the registrar is available before fixing the date with the venue.
