It’s so important to get help in preparation for your big day, there’s a lot to do and you should be enjoying the journey; but who should you get help from? Who’s going to help not hinder? Who can you trust? Who’s going to keep it fun not stressful? Let’s start with who you SHOULD get help from…
Suppliers
Suppliers are some of the best people you can ask for help, they have years of experience in the industry, they’ve seen it all! They will be full of advice and guidance and can help you with your ideas. Suppliers are there to make your planning journey less stressful, the better relationship you create with a supplier the easier your planning process will be. A supplier should be someone you can trust and rely on to meet your demands but have fun while doing so, they are a big part of making your day run smoothly and helping to create your dream wedding, so it’s important you book suppliers you have full faith in and you know will do an amazing job.

Many of our Thief hall couples have described the process as “not having to lift a finger”. If you want to read more about what we offer as a venue why not read our previous blog “how do we compare to other venues… We don’t!!”.
Now we’ve looked at who is ideal to help you, let’s look at who you might not get help from and why…

Family and Friends
It’s a lovely thing to get friends and family involved with your special day by asking them to help. It’s very cost effective. However, it’s so important that everything for your wedding is done at least 2 days before your wedding day. Why does it need to be done 2 days before? Why can’t they do it the morning of the wedding or the day before when all the other guests are there to help?… its because they always wish they had done it sooner, with all the excitement of the wedding ahead and all your guests arriving you will find yourself being pulled in all directions and we don’t want you worrying about if the cake is finished or if the chair sashes have being done. The day before your wedding and the morning of always goes so fast especially if you are having a pre wedding bar or food the night before, we want your friends and family to be able to enjoy every second of the celebrations rather than still finishing off their jobs. Therefore we would recommend that (if possible) none of your bridal party are responsible for any of the big jobs or supplying any of the services for your special day as it only adds so much stress to your preparations.
All help is appreciated but make sure its being done by the right people, someone with experience, someone you trust but most importantly someone who’s going to make it stress free! Stress is the last thing you need in the build up to the big day. Use your coordinator/ Venue that’s what they are there for, to help! It’s what we do!
